Poshmark is a website and an app where you can buy and sell new or used clothing. They currently have around 50 million users. Poshmark has several tools built within the app to help you find exactly what you're looking for. If you know how to navigate Poshmark properly, you can find anything and everything! Below are my 6 easy methods to finding anything on Poshmark.

1. Know what you want
If you search up "denim jeans", thousands of colors, styles, and brands will pop up. Make sure to include the brand and color in the actual search. Below the search bar, there is a drop down bar called "Category". Here, you can narrow the search down even more by providing a specific style. There are other drop down bars, such as brand, type, condition, color, size, price and availability that help narrow the search even more.
2. Keep in mind that not everyone knows model numbers and clothing names
Some people don't take the time to find the exact name of the clothing item. For example, if you look up "Sam Edelman Dimitree Sandals", only a few items come up, because not everyone knows the specific title. Someone else may be listing the same exact shoe under a generic title like "Black Sandals". That is why it is important to utilize the filters when searching for a specific item.

3. Be sure to check ALL listings
Make sure to scroll through all the listings to check if you have the best deal. If there is only a few listings, there is another way to search. If you click on a specific listing, scroll down to the bottom where it says "find similar listings". Here, you can search by color, by size and by new with tags. This method of searching narrows down a lot of listings because they only show items with the same name as the original listing. For example, if I click on a listing called "LOFT Pink Floral Sweater", and scroll down to search by size, they will only show me listings called "LOFT Pink Floral Sweater". This searching method is good for when you know exactly what you want. If you're just browsing, using filters to narrow your search is not necessary.
4. Utilize the Internet
If you can't find what you're looking for, try searching the internet with "poshmark" after it. For example, look up "Steve Madden Black Heels size 7 poshmark". Just add the poshmark after the item you want. The internet will pull up all listings (available or sold). You can see how much the item is being sold for and how much you can expect to spend. Be sure to include key words, such as size, color or brand into your search to narrow down options.

5. Don't just ignore the sold items
Just because an item is sold, doesn't mean you should just pass it. If you scroll down on any sold item, they will provide a section of "similar items". These pieces will be in all sizes, so make sure to change the settings. This is another way of searching for a specific item you want. Keep in mind this only works sold listings.
6. Make Offers
The offer button is on every listing, so use it! Make sure the offer is fair and not low balling. An offer should be around 10-20% off. Offers of 25% off or more is too much, and sellers will often decline. Low balling is considered 50% off or more. Make sure to read the description before making an offer. Some sellers will say "final price" or "price is firm". They will automatically decline any offer.

With the right strategies and methods, shopping on Poshmark will become very easy. If you know exactly what you want, but also keep in mind not everyone knows model numbers, you will be a successful posher. Checking all listings and making offers on the lowest one is the key to saving money. All of these methods guarantee you will find almost anything you want for a great price!
